Citation

 

Cite when you quote or paraphrase an authority, even if it’s common knowledge.  Cite the first time you refer to an authority.  Cite when you’re saying what the court’s opinion was.  Don’t cite when you are distinguishing a previously cited authority, unless it would be helpful.  Quote language.

 

Oral argument

 

Practice argument is 10 minute per side.  There are student judges.  Performance argument is 15 minutes per side.
