Dawson, p. 9-11: “Comment: Controls Over Jury Verdicts”

 

Either party in a contract dispute can be granted a jury trial by request.  This is important to how the case gets resolved.  There are plusses and minuses to having contract matters settled by juries.

 

In some ways, juries are out of control.  They make their decisions in secrecy and don’t have to give their reasons.  Therefore, it is important to understand how juries can be controlled.
